BLUE MOON

RECESS

A Women’s Retreat

Saturday, May 30, 2026

10 am - 4 pm

Elfin Forest, California

Blue Moon Recess is a lovingly-crafted retreat devoted entirely to the power of creativity and play. Like a blue moon, it is a rare moment carved out of our “regular” lives to reset and remember how to follow our impulses, play with abandon, activate imagination, make art for the love of it, and access the unique wisdom of our bodies. In other words, we’re going back to kindergarten on purpose!

What to expect:

  • The unexpected! This is a day seeded with surprises.

  • A ritual container to instill safety & space for freedom & exploration

  • Art making & experiencing - this is the heart & soul of the Blue Moon Recess!

  • Guided creative activities that bring us into the depths while we’re having fun

  • The pleasure of play in community

  • A vibrant, chef-prepared lunch made with the freshest local ingredients & intentionality

  • A dreamy sound bath in the geodesic dome with Nikaya Kipp

  • The beautiful embrace of Thunderdome Ranch and its lovingly cared for plants & animals

  • The special touch of our hostess and retreat collaborator, Lisa DeSantis Kirchmer, who brings an inimitable verve to everything she does.

  • Little delights all throughout the day like rainbow sprinkles.

Details:

The cost to attend the retreat is $325 and tickets can be purchased here. This event will be limited to 20 participants. Attendees will receive more information, including the venue address, via email prior to the retreat. We will do our best to accomodate dietary restrictions - please let us know in advance. We will be pouring so much effort and love into making this day a memorable one. We so look forward to guiding you in this magical day of play!
